Consultant Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern your use of the consultant platform at www.partanenconsulting.com (“Website”) owned and operated by Partanen Consulting Group (“we”, “us”, “our”). By applying to join the consultant directory and using our platform, you agree to the following terms.

1. Role of Partanen Consulting Group

  • We are a facilitator, not an employer. Our role is to connect independent consultants (“you”, “Consultant”) with our direct or indirect clients for freelance or permanent roles.
  • We do not guarantee job placement or contract acquisition.
  • All engagement terms between you and a client will be subject to separate agreements, with or without our direct involvement depending on the case.

2. Consultant Eligibility

  • You must be 18 years or older and legally allowed to work as an independent contractor or employee in your country of residence.
  • You must submit an accurate, complete profile, subject to approval by our team.
  • You are solely responsible for maintaining accurate availability, skills, and contact information.
  • Should the project or job require relocation or extensive travel to client offices, you may be required to possess a work permit in the country of the client office.  You must provide a proof of work permit upon request.

3. Consultant Profile and Directory Listing

  • Approved consultants are listed in our internal system and appear in a private or public directory shown to clients.
  • Client access to your profile is limited; personally identifying details (such as email, phone, or full name) are not visible until a formal client request is initiated and approved.
  • We reserve the right to edit, approve, or remove profiles that do not meet quality or conduct standards.

4. Matching Process

  • We may suggest you to clients based on your profile, skills, and preferences.
  • Clients may also request to connect with specific consultants.
  • You are under no obligation to accept a project or role offered.
  • You may not solicit or accept work directly from a client without informing us if we facilitated the introduction.

5. Freelance vs Permanent Opportunities

  • Freelance roles: We manage the contract between the consultant and the client. 
  • Permanent roles: You may be introduced to clients for full-time employment; we are not your employer, and we do not manage employment contracts.

6. Conduct and Responsibilities

As a Consultant, you agree to:

  • Respond promptly to connection or interview requests.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions.
  • Deliver honest and accurate information about your skills and experience.
  • Notify us if you are no longer available or wish to deactivate your profile.

7. Confidentiality

  • You must treat any non-public information from clients or Partanen Consulting Group as confidential.
  • You may not share client briefs, contracts, or project details with third parties.

8. Non-Circumvention

If you are introduced to a client through our platform:

  • You may not bypass Partanen Consulting Group to negotiate work or payment directly without our written consent, for a period of 12 months from the introduction.  If you performed work at a Partanen Consulting Group’s client, you may not by bypass not bypass Partanen Consulting Group for a period of 12 months from the last day of the contract with the client.
  • This applies to freelance, fixed-term, or permanent engagements.

9. Fees and Payments

  • For freelance contracts we manage, payment will be released to you as per the contract terms after client approval.
  • For client-managed contracts, the client will be directly responsible for payments.
  • You are fully responsible to pay all the required taxes and financial declarations.

10. Suspension or Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or remove your profile if:

  • You breach these terms
  • You provide misleading information
  • You fail to communicate or show professionalism
  • You violate client trust or platform rules

11. Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for:

  • The success or outcome of any consultant-client relationship
  • Client behavior, payment, or actions
  • Any damages, losses, or delays arising from platform use or introductions

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes will be handled via arbitration or mediation before legal proceedings.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on the Website, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
